SustAinimal – A knowledge center with a focus on the production animals' future role

A knowledge center focusing on the future role of food-producing animals. SustAinimal is a center funded by the Swedish Research Council Formas with a mission to collaborate to increase knowledge about the role of food-producing animals in a resilient, sustainable, and profitable food system in Sweden.

SustAinimal is a leading knowledge center for decision-makers and stakeholders to turn to for collaboration and increased knowledge about the role of food-producing animals in the development of resilient, sustainable, and competitive food production in Sweden. SustAinimal currently has 20 partners with broad representation from universities, research institutes, industry organizations, and companies. Together, we ask important and difficult questions. We share knowledge and build new knowledge. And we work intensively to find solutions to complex problems. The research itself is carried out by doctoral students and young researchers in projects at the SustAinimal Academy.
