The maps show soil type, soil content, pH and plant nutrients in Swedish arable land and can be used, for example, as a basis for calculating nutrient leaching from arable land and for calculating the productive capacity of arable land in different parts of Sweden. The map material can also be used to identify where measures to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus leaching from agriculture can be implemented.

The map product consists of 13 different rasters (geotif) showing clay content, sand content, silt content, soil content, pH, phosphorus saturation, phosphorus binding capacity and concentrations of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, iron and aluminium in 10x10 km squares.
