How to plan your scientific career: dos and don’ts

SLU Future Faculty would like to invite you to a career planning seminar.

We will have two exciting presentations:

Riccardo Bommarco who is Professor in Agricultural Entomology at the Department of Ecology and Chair of the Plant Protection Platform at SLU. His research focuses on insect and plant ecology in agricultural landscape, with a strong focus on ecosystem services such as biological control and pollination. He is involved in national and international extension in the agricultural sector and gives support to producers, industry and authorities in the field of plant protection.

Sara Hallin who is Professor at the Department of Forest Mycology and Plant Pathology at SLU. Her research focuses on ecology of nitrogen cycling communities in natural, terrestrial and aquatic, ecosystems and engineered systems. She also conducts applied research related to agricultural and environmental issues, such as nutrient cycling, greenhouse gas emissions, nitrogen leaching and water treatment.

We will start with a sandwich lunch (for registered participants) and a mingle, followed by the presentations.
