Professor Patrick Svensson was elected new Fellow, at the The Royal Swedish Agricultural Academy gathering on the 9th of November 2023.

Patrick Svensson, born 1965, Professor of Agrarian History at Department of Urban and Rural Development, SLU. His research concerns the economy of the pre-industrial society and the transition to the modern society, above all focused on the implementation of the agrarian revolution and its consequences in Sweden. He also has very well-developed international collaborations and networks.

The Royal Swedish Agricultural Academy General Section works with overarching issues that concern natural resources, nature conservation, environment, landscape, research policy, knowledge transfer and community planning - and also issues in industries and sciences that do not specifically belong in agriculture or forestry, such as fishing, aquaculture and other nature management.
