The Swedish Hygiene Prize 2025 is awarded to Todd Alsing Johansson, Doctor in Veterinary Infection Prevention and Control at SLU.
The Swedish Hygiene Prize is awarded annually by Swedish Association for
Infection Control (SAIC) (Swedish: Svensk Förening för Vårdhygien), with the goal to recognize initiatives, projects or development work that have resulted in improved healthcare hygiene routines that also lead to a reduced risk of the spread of infection and healthcare-related infections.
In 2025, one of the winners is Todd Alsing Johansson - Doctor in Veterinary Infection Prevention and Control, lecturer in veterinary nursing and who also teaches healthcare hygiene at the veterinary program and animal nursing program at SLU. The jury's motivation for Todd's award is as follows:
Which translates to: " By thorough commitment as well as long-term and structured improvement of work, a practice has been created that keeps the work of good hygienic standards alive at all levels of the practice."
The Swedish Hygiene Prize is awarded to an organization, company, workplace or individual whose efforts have been significant in the field of hygiene in healthcare, dentistry, elderly care or veterinary medicine, including their service activities according to the purpose.
