Kenya launches science translation hub
Kenya has launched the Science Translation Hub to bridge research and policy, focusing on food systems and agriculture. Led by the University of Nairobi with University of Embu and Maseno University, the hub will train early career researchers to turn scientific findings into policy over the next 18 months.
Speaking at the launch, Prof. Cecilia Onyango stressed linking research to real-world impact, while other leaders highlighted the hub’s role in advancing food security and sustainable development. Supported by the Swedish Government, the hub aims to make science more accessible and influential in shaping national policies.
