On 25 September, SLU’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Maria Knutson Wedel and RUFORUM’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Patrick Okori has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.

RUFORUM, the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture, is a network of 175 universities in 40 countries in the five regions of eastern, southern, central, west, and north Africa.

This MoU will enable increased opportunities of collaboration between SLU and RUFORUM in several areas, including writing common applications, exchange of students and academic staff between SLU and RUFORUM’s member universities, and joint advocacy about investments in higher education in Africa.
