Intense program for Bioglue at Canadian conference
A delegation from Bioglue presented the work of the centre at FPS International Conference on Wood Adhesives was held at The University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
The intense program, scheduled from 07.00 in the morning to late night, and the combination of joint activities and meals, as well as the high level of engagement of the participants, gave many opportunities for interactions and discussions.
The BioGlue centre was presented by Eva Malmström Jonsson, KTH, where she explained the centre’s structure and objectives. She also gave a plenary lecture with an overview of the research on biobased adhesives at KTH.
Venla Hemmilä, Ikea, and Stephan Weinkötzör, BASF, gave research presentations in the session on Novel Chemistry in Bio-Based Adhesives for Indoor Wood Products: From Lab to Market, chaired by Reza Hosseinpourpia, LNU.
Linda Fogelström and Tijana Todorovic gave research presentations in the session Protein & Carbohydrate Adhesives, chaired by Venla Hemmilä. Venla Hemmilä also acted as a panelist on the panel discussion on Wood Adhesives.
