First, shared, prize laureates are Said Rodriguez-Romero and Vanesa Gutiérrez-Chavéz, both from Autonomous University of Queretaro, Mexico.
Said Rodriguez-Romero
Title: A low-cost tray dehydrator to reduce post-harvest losses and
empower small-scale producers
Motivation: This high-quality research focuses on the importance of creating a low-cost tray dehydrator to reduce post-harvest losses to empower small-scale producers. Said Rodrigez-Romero succeeds to effectively communicate the research in a clear way and explains very well how his research contributes to global sustainable development with a focus on SDG 8 - "Decent work and economic growth", SDG 9 - "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure", SDG 7 –“Affordable and clean energy” and SDG 1– “No poverty”.

Said Rodriguez-Romero and Diana Gutiérrez-Chavéz together receive a prize of 3500 Euro.
Second prize laureate: Yue Zhu, Beijing Forest University
Title:Fungal dynamics and lignocellulose depolymerization in Pinus koraiensis:
impact of longhorn beetle infestation
Motivation: This high-quality research focuses on the importance of fungal dynamics and lignocellulose depolymerization in Pinus koraiensis, emphasising the impact of longhorn beetle infestation. Yue Zhu succeeds to effectively communicate
the research in a clear way and explains very well how her research contributes to global sustainable development with a focus on SDG 15 – "Life on land" and SDG 13 – “Climate action".
Yue Zhu receives a prize of 1000 Euro.
Third prize laureate: Sendibitiyosi Gandidzanwa, Nelson Mandela University
Title: The in silico, in vitro, and in vivo development of palladium-based
nanoradiopharmaceuticals for breast cancer therapy
Motivation: This high-quality research focuses on the development of palladium-based nanoradiopharmaceuticals for breast cancer therapy. Sendibitiyosi Gandidzanwa succeeds to effectively communicate the research in a clear way and explains very well how his research contributes to global sustainable development with a focus on SDG 3 – "Good health and well-being" and SDG 5 – "Gender equality".
Sendibitiyosi Gandidzanwa receives a prize of 500 Euro.
