Prof. Frank Mugagga Inducted as a Fellow of Uganda National Academy of Sciences
Prof. Frank Mugagga has been inducted as a Fellow of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences (UNAS) during its 2025 conference and annual general meeting held in Kampala. He was among twelve eminent agricultural scientists honored following a rigorous vetting process.
The recognition highlights his over 15 years of research and community engagement, particularly his leadership of the Resilient Urban Food Systems (RUFS) Project. Through RUFS, Prof. Mugagga has contributed significantly to improving food security and climate resilience in Kasese Municipality and Mbale City, translating scientific research into practical solutions that benefit smallholder farmers and local communities.
