SLU and Dalhousie University build new bridges for collaboration

A new agreement opens the door to closer collaboration between SLU and Dalhousie University in Canada.

SLU and the Dalhousie University, Canada, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration and create new opportunities for academic exchange and collaborative research.  

By bringing together perspectives from both Sweden and Canada, the new agreement marks an important step towards shared solutions for the future of agriculture. 

The five-year long agreement will initially focus on agriculture, with particular emphasis on plant science, environmental science and animal science and will also include student exchange for undergraduate and graduate students.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Dalhousie University by President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kim Brooks, and on behalf of SLU by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Maria Knutsson Wedel.

“It is a delight for us to sign an MoU with Dalhousie University. We have much in common, including our shared commitment to contributing to a more sustainable future. At the same time, we bring different strengths that can create new opportunities for both our universities. I hope this will be a strong starting point for future collaboration and exchange,” says Maria Knutsson Wedel.
