Presentation
I mainly work with SLU’s environmental monitoring and collaboration initiatives, and dedicate a small part of my time to research in forest history and biodiversity.
I have a MSc in Forest Science and hold a PhD in forest vegetation ecology with a specialization in forest history from SLU.
Environment analysis
I act as coordinator for SLU’s environmental monitoring program Forests, and I collaborate with government agencies, the forestry sector, and non-governmental organizations on identifying needs for new data and decision support.
The focus is on identifying societal needs and connecting them with the right expertise at SLU to develop data collection, analysis, and new ways of utilizing existing data.
External collaboration
I work as a collaboration coordinator at the Faculty of Forest Sciences at SLU, with the mission to strengthen collaboration with the forest sector.
I am one of the initiators of the National Forest Data Lab, a lab environment and collaboration platform focused on innovation related to forest data.
I am also affiliated with SLU’s project office within the European Digital Innovation Hub Digital Impact North. Here I coordinate support from SLU:s research and to small and medium-sized organisations (SME:s) and governmental organisations.
Research Infrastructure
I am involved in developing the research infrastructures connected to SLU’s national terrestrial monitoring programs, within the framework of the national research infrastructure SBDI (Swedish Biodiversity Data Infrastructure) that deliver species information to GBIF.The focus is on data curation and the development of open services that make data more accessible for various user needs. In addition, we provide support to researchers who wish to use data from the national terrestrial monitoring programs.
