Presentation

My PhD research is a part of a collaborative research project jointly undertaken by the SIAS and SLU, titled “Wild animals – biodiversity or pest? Creating local dialogues for dealing with farming-wildlife conflicts in rural Himalayan landscapes (Wildpest) funded by Formas.

I grew up in a farming family in the rural village of Nepal, hold an M.Phil. in Development Geography from the University of Bergen, Norway, and a master’s in Geography from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Since 2020, I have been with the Southasia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS), working on different research projects related to natural resource governance and agriculture.
