Research Assistant, Division of Microbial Ecology
Research assistant working with eDNA-based biomonitoring of Swedish freshwaters. I may often be found next to a blender homogenising samples, in the extraction lab — pipette in hand, or in the post-PCR amplifying, purifying and quantifying samples or running gels!

Presentation

Starting my role as a research assistant at SLU within the eDNA group in 2025, I assist in various projects with DNA sequencing preparation, from extraction to library preparation using different methods.

I first encountered eDNA when pursuing my bachelor's in biology and quickly became enamoured. This interest grew stronger during my thesis project, working on eDNA and macroalgae, which only increased when pursuing my master's in forensic science and working part-time with environmental DNA and ultimately led me to SLU and the eDNA group.
