I design plants to produce tailor-made storage compounds that benefit our health and our environment, with a main focus on potato.

Presentation

I am using new breeding technologies, including CRISPR, for research and development of traits mainly in potato, but also in tomato, sugar beet, and oat. The aim is to find breeding targets to design plants to produce tailor-made storage compounds that benefit our health and our environment. My research focuses on starch, but oil, sugar, and protein also catch my interest. The research has led to a spin-off company, SolEdits AB, founded in 2020, for which I am a co-founder and CEO.
