I am an architect and environmental specialist, and I have been pursuing my doctoral studies at SLU Alnarp since January 2023.

Presentation

Rishad Ahmmad is an architect and environmental specialist pursuing a doctoral degree in Building Technology at Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet. His research centers on enhancing daylighting and lighting conditions in livestock buildings, contributing to both animal welfare and sustainable farming. Rishad combines his diverse academic and professional background in architecture and sustainable buildings to design rural, agricultural, and animal buildings. His professional interests encompass architectural design, energy efficiency, virtual reality applications for daylighting and lighting design, computational design, and building performance simulations.

Research

Retrofitting daylighting and electric lighting in livestock buildings (2023–2026, ongoing). Funded by the EELYS program of the Swedish Energy Agency (Statens energimyndighet) and the Department of Biosystems and Technology (SLU).
