PhD student with a focus on assisted migration of tree species
Presentation
I am broadly interested in the sustainable management and restoration of forest ecosystems within the context of climate change adaptation. In my PhD, I am focusing on the assisted migration of broadleaved tree species from southern Sweden and central Europe as a potential tool to diversify and increase the resilience of swedish forests.
Coming from a theoretical background in modelling tree provenances and species distributions in several international research projects at my former employer BFW, I am excited to apply this promising tool in practice and evaluate potential drivers of success and failure.
