PhD student, Division of Plant Pathology/Epidemiology
Agronomist interested in plant ecology and its role in developing more sustainable cropping systems.
Presentation
I'm currently doing a PhD in crop production science at the Department of Crop Production Ecology (VPE). My project revolves around perennial cropping systems, with a focus on agronomic management of Kernza (Intermediate wheatgrass), a dual-purpose crop that can be cultivated for both grain and forage. I'm also looking at mechanical weed control of perennial weeds, using a horizontal root cutter.
Research projects
- Validating the introdution of Kernza in the Nordic-Baltic region (Viking)
- IWM-CA: Integrated approaches to weed management in conservation agriculture
