Presentation
I am a PhD-student at the department of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies.
Research
My PhD project focuses on the life history traits of moose in Sweden, with the aim of improving our understanding of how environmental factors influence their condition, growth, and survival. These traits are critical for a sustainable and adaptive management of moose populations.
The research focuses on age structure, reproductive rates, body weight, physical condition, and stress hormone levels within the moose population. We also examine how these factors vary across different regions and over time.
As part of the project, we collect biological samples from harvested moose in designated study areas to support detailed analyses.
