Presentation
I am a PhD student within the project Early Modern Inequality through Machine-Read Wealth Registers, a collaboration between Agrarian History at the SLU, the Department of Economic History at Lund University, and the research division at the Swedish National Archives. My dissertation project aims to investigate wealth structure and economic inequality from a historical perspective, using the Älvsborg Ransom of 1571 as the primary source base.
I hold a master's degree in History from Lund University and have previously contributed to research on wealth distribution based on probate inventory registers. My main research interests concern economic inequality, economic elites, and the long-term development of wealth distribution in Sweden and the Nordic countries overall. In addition, I have an interest in demographic questions, particularly how structural conditions and individual life choices, such as extramarital births or migration, have historically shaped the life trajectories of individuals.
I am based as a visiting PhD student at the Department of Economic History at Lund University.
