Presentation
I am a university lecturer with both theoretical and practical experience in animal husbandry, architecture, and sustainability. My main focus in teaching and research is building construction and technology related to animal husbandry, adaptive reuse of buildings, tourism, and sustainability.
Research
My earlier research centred on agricultural buildings, their spatial relationships, and potential for adaptive reuse—primarily within tourism and sustainability-focused contexts. My current research project, "Best Practice," aims to develop a digital platform to support farmers and landowners in the adaptive reuse of agricultural buildings for tourism and other diversified activities. The project also forms part of peer reviewed publications and contributes to the development of case studies and teaching materials for courses within SLU’s Bachelor Programme in Rural Development and Agriculture (Lantmästarprogrammet).

Conference Organization
I am the principal organizer of two annually recurring conferences:
LantBygg – a conference focusing on rural buildings and building materials. Details and updates are published in the calendar of Partnerskap Alnarp.
Alnarp Poultry Day – an annual event with a focus on the poultry sector. Information is likewise available via the Partnerskap Alnarp calendar.
AgriBuild Conference, April 2024
This conference focused on renewable and sustainable building materials derived from agriculture. The programme included presentations on hemp–lime, hemp insulation, and linseed oil–based products, as well as a workshop addressing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to agricultural building materials. The conference emphasised networking and knowledge transfer between academia, industry, and public authorities. Due to strong interest and positive feedback, the Department of Biosystems and Technology plans to organise the conference on an annual basis.
Collaboration and Networks
I work interdisciplinarily with farmers, construction companies, and suppliers of materials, technologies, and services within the construction and agricultural sectors. I collaborate with researchers in Sweden and in several European countries, including Universidad de Valladolid (Spain), MATE (Hungary), as well as Kathmandu University (Nepal).
I am a member of GAIA International https://www.gaia-international.eu/ , an international eco-architecture network. I am also a founding member of Hållbart Byggande i Syd https://hbsyd.se/ , where I have held several positions, including Chair of the Board.
Supervision
I have served as:
- Primary supervisor for three bachelor’s thesis projects
- Main supervisor for one and co supervisor for one master’s thesis project
- Co-supervisor for one PhD student
