Mia Bengtsson

I am a guest researcher through the August T. Larsson programme for two months per year during 2025-2027. 

My research at SLU revolves around potentially pathogenic Vibrio bacteria and how we can understand their ecology in the Baltic Sea and in freshwaters and come up with new innovative methods to monitor them. When I am not at SLU, I lead a research group at the University of Greifswald called Coastal Microbiomes.
