Carmen Cristescu

Carmen a background of wood engineering from the Transilvania University in Brasov, Romania. She took her PhD in the North of Sweden finding how to press wooden boards without adhesives (with heat and pressure only). Life cycle analysis became the main interest while working at RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) during a project of reuse of wooden structures. By joining SLU in 2022 she can now study sustainability over the entire value chain, from forest to wood-based products.
