Presentation
I am a doctoral student in Magnus Åbrink's group who started in November 2023. I have a MS in Biology (Immunology and Microbiology - 2022) from Uppsala University and a BS in Biology (General Biology - 2017) from Humboldt State University. Between graduating HSU and moving to Sweden, I worked in biotech, specifically cell culture, antibody/protein purification, and quality control.
Aside from biology, I am a 5 times award winning brewer (former head brewer for Bryggeriet Ångkvarn), avid runner, and cross-country skier.
Research
My project regards host-parasite cellular communication, specifically extracellular vesicles (EVs) from Parascaris spp., Toxocara canis, and Ascaris suum and their effect on the host immune system.
