Presentation

I am a PhD student at the department of Ecology. My PhD project is about pollinating insects in forest landscapes.

Research

In my PhD project, I am investigating the importance of forest structural complexity (e.g., the amount and composition of dead wood and bare soil) and microclimatic conditions (e.g., temperature and light) for pollinating insects in Swedish hemiboreal forests (which are forests in the transitional zone between boreal and temperate forests).

Functional forest landscapes for pollinating insects

Background

I have a MSc in Ecology from SLU, a MSc in Environmental Law from Umeå University and a BSc in Business and Economics from Uppsala University. In my master's thesis work at SLU, I investigated whether an intensified management regime of the vegetation within power line corridors had any impact on the diversity of vascular plants and/or butterflies.
