I am a PhD student since 2024, working with the restoration of European ash (Fraxinus excelsior), a species severely affected by ash dieback.
Research
My research focuses on finding ways to restore and sustain European ash populations in the landscape.
I study the health of naturally regenerated ash across southern Sweden to understand how trees establish and respond to ash dieback under different environmental conditions and at various life stages. I also work with progeny trials planted with seedlings from tolerant mother trees, where I evaluate their survival, growth, and resistance to the disease to support the selection of resilient planting material.
By combining these studies, I aim to develop and share practical strategies that can guide future restoration efforts and help forest owners support ash recovery.
