Dr. Rob van Gemert handles the assessment of the Swedish component of the European eel stock, and has been employed at SLU Aqua in Stockholm since 2021.

Presentation

My research focusses on stock assessment and optimising fisheries management. For this, I make use of a diverse range of quantitative mathematical models to assess stock status and evaluate the outcome of specific management actions.

Since January 2021 I work on the stock assessment of the European eel at SLU Aqua's Sötvattenslaboratoriet.
