Presentation
I'm trained in research revolving around plant-microbe interactions, plant immunity and plant breeding. So far in my research journey I have worked with banana, white lupin, potato and now work on pea. In my research I focus on how to improve crops to increase their resilience, specifically to pathogens.
Research
My current research focusses on root rot pathogens in pea. We will use multi-omics data with resistance screenings and virulence bioassays to investigate the interaction between pea and these pathogens from a plant and pathogen perspective. One specific pathogen we will focus on is Fusarium oxysporum, a fungal pathogen that causes disease on many agriculturally relevant crops.
