Presentation

I am curious about the ecology of mycorrhizal fungi and their significance in the soil organic matter dynamics.

Research

My doctoral project aims to disentangle the roles of interactions between saprotrophic, ectomycorrhizal, and ericoid mycorrhizal fungal guilds in the long-term organic matter stocks and the tree seedling performance, considering the importance of the common mycorrhizal network, in boreal forest. I combine metabarcoding, metatranscriptomic, and biochemical methods with a field manipulation experiment and landscape-scale soil inventory data.
