Presentation
I am a PhD candidate at the LTV faculty, with a Masters in plant ecology and some experience in chemistry and biochemistry. For quite a long time, my main areas of interest have been urban plant ecology and ecophysiology - fascinating and quickly developing fields which could give us insights into how plants adapt in response to extreme stress and changing climate conditions. My doctoral project focuses on green roof ecosystem ecology.
Research
I am currently working as part of the Malmö Green Roofs project. This project is a long-term study of a number of green roofs in Malmö city that has been following those ecosystems over some decades, monitoring their ecology and the ecosystem services they provide. My role is to study community composition and nutrient cycling mechanics on green roofs, especially with regards to nitrogen processing. As part of my study, I will follow the changes in these ecosystems over multiple years and monitor how these changes are affected by factors such as roof age and fertilisation regime.
