Our group, lead by Professor Stefan Roos, focuses on applied microbiology and probiotic science, with particular emphasis on host–microbe interactions, strain‑specific mechanisms of action, and translation of preclinical research into evidence‑based health applications. Through my SLU affiliation and my role in industry, I actively bridge fundamental academic research with product‑oriented development, ensuring scientific rigor while addressing regulatory, formulation, and manufacturing constraints.
At BioGaia, I coordinate and lead preclinical research programs that support preclinical to clinical development and product innovation. I work closely with academic collaborators, clinicians, and industry stakeholders, contributing to BioGaias long‑term research strategies and the development of scientifically robust probiotic products. My work is firmly rooted in industry–academia collaboration, with a strong focus on translational research and real‑world impact.
