Sofia Larsson

I have a master of science in molecular biotechnology engineering and have worked with molecular method development at Readily diagnostics since 2023. I am interested in different types of water, which pathogens are spread where and how these pathogens can be detected and monitored efficiently.

Project titel: "Scaling up single molecule variant-detection for aquatic pathogen surveillance"

My PhD project is focused on detection of waterborne infectious diseases. The project includes both studies of metagenomes from all over the world, and detection of pathogens in the lab using Readily diagnostics innovative padlock probe system. Moreover, probe design and validation is an important part of the project.
