Viktoria Langwallner

I am working on projects that investigate the immune response to the multivalent vaccine Strangvac in horses. I focus on antibody responses and their role in protection against Streptococcus equi subsp. equi.

I wish to improve our understanding of:

1. how different vaccine components contribute to protection
2. functional mechanisms and interactions between the bacteria and the host
3. attitudes among horse owners and veterinarians about disease control and vaccinations
    
    

I am part of the teaching team responsible for the biochemistry labs taught by the Department of Animal Biosciences (HBIO).
