Presentation
I am fascinated with the way that animals respond to environmental change while still balancing responses to historic stressors like predator threat. I am particulalry interested in social behaviour and the ways that group mates can either buffer or exacerbate the consequences of change. I have a PhD in Animal Behaviour from UC Davis and have previously work at the University of Glasgow.
Research
I take a holistic approach to understanding responses to change and integreate different measures of behaviour with measures of physiology. My goal is to understand what an animal is capable of doing and what it is motivated to do in response to a challenge. Currently my work is largely focused on the impact of pharmaceuticals in the environment on the behaviour and physiology of fish.
