Presentation

I am a Researcher and Teacher at the unit of Environmental Communication. I have wide ranging interests spanning future imaginaries, environmental governance, and knowledge production processes. I have a background in environmental social science and science and technology studies and earned my PhD in Technology and Social Change from Linköping University examining imaginaries of the fossil fuel free future utilising case studies from biogas and electric vehicles in Sweden. My current research engages with future imaginaries of digital forestry and new genomic technologies, as well as the role of dialogue in situations where truth and knowledge are contested.

Research

In my current research, I am interested in imaginaries of the future and how they interact with environmental governance and debate through two cases: digital technologies in forestry and new genomic technologies. I am especially interested in the role of grief and other emotions in imainaries of the future and in the way that imaginaries are co-constituted with technology. I also work extensively with participatory and deliberative processes, with an emphasis on know knowledge production and truth claims are enacted in these.

Teaching

I am a teacher in the Environmental Communication and Management (ECM) programme as a co-coordinator of the course "Conflict, Democracy, and Facilitation" and as the coordinator of the Environmental Communication thesis course. In this role I support ECM students in their thesis process from matching with a supervisor through examination. I also chair the EC thesis examination committee.
