Research
My research investigates the ecological consequences of continuous cover forestry (CCF) on the understory dynamics of native temperate broadleaved forests. I focus on:
The biotic and abiotic conditions that facilitate the initial establishment of broadleaved tree species.
The constraints limiting the progression of seedlings and saplings into the midstory.
How CCF management influences the composition and abundance of understory forage species, and the extent to which they are utilized by Sweden’s cervid populations.
