Gopinathan Manavalan

I am Gopinathan Manavalan, a researcher with a strong background in electroanalytical chemistry and materials science, with a particular focus on carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and biomass-derived carbons for Li-ion battery anode applications, as well as transition metal–doped CQDs for water electrolysis and CO₂ conversion to C₂ products. I received my PhD from the National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan, where my dissertation, “Oxygen and Amine Functionalization of Screen-Printed Carbon Electrodes for Electrochemical Sensing Applications”, focused on developing innovative electrochemical sensors.
