Presentation

I obtained my BSc in Biology in 2017 and my MSc in Horticulture in 2021, both from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Alnarp. After completing my Master’s degree, I worked as a research assistant on a project investigating genetic diversity in gooseberries at SLU, followed by a position as a research assistant in a pollinator health project at the University of Freiburg, Germany. I also worked as a laboratory technician at the Hushållningssällskapet laboratory before starting my PhD in 2024 at the Department of Plant Protection Biology, SLU.

Research

I research the olfactory system of mosquitoes, focusing on how their odorant receptors have evolved to recognise human scents and repellents. Using electrophysiology, I investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying host preference to improve our understanding of mosquito ecology and behaviour.
