Doctoral student within Division of Environmental Communication exploring the multispecies ethnography of new genetic technologies in Maize cultivation in South Africa. My research engages with feminist, multispecies political ecology and decolonial theory & practice.

Research

The Properties and Relations of Maize: A multispecies study of the role of crop biotechnology in African smallholder farming. The project investigates the role of new crop biotechnologies in smallholders’ adaptation to climate change, taking on the lens of more-than-human beings whose agencies are at play in maize cultivation.
