Presentation

I started my PhD at Plant Biology department in summer 2026.

After completing the MEME program (Erasmus Mundus Master's Programme in Evolutionary Biology) in 2022 I worked as a research assistant at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Global Economic Dynamics and The Biosphere Research Program for three years.

After that I continued working as a research assistant at Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University, where I researched about the eco-evolutionary dynamics of socio-ecological systems in the Anthropocene

Research

I have an interdisciplinary background with a strong focus on evolutionary biology. My previous research projects focused on human evolution, anthropocene dynamics, global health, public health and governance in antimicrobial resistance.

Currently, my PhD research focuses on how whole-genome duplication contributes to polyploid success while influenced by key processes such as meiosis, DNA repair, and kinetochore function, ultimately promoting genetic diversity through structural variation. I will conduct comparative pangenomic and multi-omic analyses in Cochlearia, Arabidopsis arenosa, Cardamine, and Mimulus.
