My research integrates ecological theory and empirical evidence to understand biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and stability across space and time. I also bridge forest management theory and practice to assess management impacts and advance sustainable forestry.

Presentation

I'm Xuetao Qiao (乔雪涛). My research integrates ecological theory with empirical evidence to understand the ecological and biogeographical processes shaping biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, and stability across spatial and temporal scales. I am particularly interested in how biodiversity and environmental heterogeneity influence ecosystem productivity and stability, and how these relationships respond to global environmental change and climate extremes.

By combining ecological theory, long-term forest observations, and large-scale ecological datasets, I aim to advance our understanding of forest ecosystem dynamics and bridge the gap between ecological theory and sustainable forest management practice.
