Presentation
I am a animal science agronomist and defended my PhD in 2014 in a project where we investigated the effect of reduced training intensity and feeding a forage only diet to young Standardbred horses in training for races.
Works as a university junior lecturer in animal physiology and anatomy.
Department Director of Studies and Deputy Head of Department.
Research
I conduct research in nutrition and physical activity and their connection to health and function in sports and companion animals, primarily horses and dogs. I strive for a holistic view of animals and animal husbandry where both feeding, activity, animal husbandry, training and upbringing conditions are seen as contributing to the individual's physical condition, health and function. I also have a special interest in investigating how grazing with horses can affect landscape development including biodiversity, the well-being of horses and their function in various areas of use.
