Postdoctor, Plant genomics and plant breeding
Presentation
Ph.D. in Biology with a focus on plant genomics, bioinformatics, and breeding for climate resilience. My research uses high-throughput genomic data and statistical tools to explore genetic diversity and dissect complex traits in crops, with a particular focus on timothy grass (Phleum pratense L.).
Research
- Genomics and population genetics of timothy (Phleum pratense L.) for diversity, evolution, and breeding (2020-present).
- Population genomics and association studies in intermediate wheatgrass (Thinopyrum intermedium/Kernza) (2024–2025).
- Transcriptome analysis of wheat roots under water shortage (2018–2019).
- Identification of genomic loci associated with agronomic traits and early vigour in bread wheat (2016–2019).
