Arvid Stiernström

I work as a reseracher in rural development since April 2024. My work currently involves the organisation of the conference Nordic Ruralities 2024 and with the government assigned task Uppdrag Landsbygd. In my research and teaching I focus on how land and natural resources shape notions of development as well as the relationship between state actors and citizens in the rural north. During my PhD education, I took an particular interest in mining and indigenous rights, an interest that continues to this day
