I have a masters degree in agronomy and hold a PhD in microbiology. Throughout my career, I have been interested in soil variation, its significance for crops, environmental impact, and how soil and crops can best be managed. Methods for measuring and interpreting data are important components. Soil spectroscopy, particularly in the near-infrared range, has developed into a special area of expertise.
