Associate Professor in Bioenergy systems. Analysing environmental impacts of bioenergy system to enable systems with low or negative climate impact. Biochar is a special interest, due to possibility to provide carbon dioxide removal as well as other benefits. Research in Sweden and East Africa.

Research

My research concerns climate impact and other environmental impacts from bioenergy, food, organic waste and biomaterials. In particular, I am interested in how biochar can improve the impacts from various complex systems, and the methods needed to quantify this. I have projects in Sweden and Kenya.

Teaching

I teach bioenergy, climate and sustainability at the Energy Systems Engineering programme.

Cooperation

I am assigned as collaboration expert on climate impact of land use. I perform research and education on transtion to fossil-free technical systems in collaboration with a wide range of organisations.
