Presentation

I am a postdoctoral researcher and forest entomologist specializing in the study of insect communities and their responses to environmental disturbances and forest characteristics. My research focuses on temperate and boreal forests, aiming to improve our understanding of forest biodiversity to support effective conservation strategies and sustainable forest management.

Research

I am currently working on the conservation value of skeleton forests (project leads by Pr. Thomas Ranius). I am focusing on the influence of the types of spruce bark beetle-killed trees influence the composition of saproxylic communities, and especially Coleoptera, parasitic wasps and fungi. These results are required by government agencies and forestry companies to enhance forest biodiversity conservation.

I am also involved in scientific mediation. I love sharing scientific knowledge with the general public and showing them the importance of science and insects. For example, I present a part of my thesis project in the comic "Sciences en bulles" (link in French only). I am also a member of the editorial committee of "L'Entomologiste – a magazine for and by insect enthusiasts" (also only in French).
