Presentation

MSc in Animal Science and currently PhD student at the Institution of applied animal science and welfare with focus on beef production on semi-natural grasslands. My main interests are ruminant nutrition and sustainable food systems.

Research

My PhD project is divided into four sub-projects which are all connected to grazing of semi-natural grasslands, biodiversity and the role of grazing in nature conservation and sustainable use of grass- and forest land. Hopefully my work will create useful tools for effective management of semi-natural grasslands and give better insight in how these areas can be a key role player in a sustainable, circular and robust food system. In addition, I wish to illustrate the possibility of profitable integration of nature conservation, beef production and forestry.
