Presentation
I am a molecular breeder of Cereal. My previous research focused on barley molecular genetics, particularly mapping quantitative trait loci for key agronomic traits and cloning of several domestication genes, such as Btr1, Cly1, and Vrs1 (2001- Aug 2010 Japan).
My current work centers on breeding climate-resilient crops, with an emphasis on perennial cereals including intermediate wheatgrass, perennial barley and Rye through direct and indirect domestication approaches (2010 Aug - at present SLU).
