I'm a forest ecophysiologist, studying species interactions in mixed species forests, ecosystem fluxes of greenhouse gases, and photosynthetic acclimation and adaptation of trees and seedlings.
Presentation
As a forest ecophysiologist I study the physiological processes of trees as they respond and adapt to their environment. I'm applying empirical and mechanistic models for the analysis of ecophysiological phenomena and for the study of forest ecosystems functioning. My main research interests are in exploring the strategies different tree species employ to succeed in a dynamic environment, what ecological niche they occupy and how they influence forest ecosystem functioning.
